The Coffs Coast is located on the mid-north coast of NSW, just a couple of hours drive south of Byron Bay, with Coffs Harbour at its heart. Perfect for day tours and holiday packages.
It’s easy to get here, with quick and convenient daily flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to Coffs Harbour airport. Bus and train routes also link towns all along the NSW east coast to Coffs Harbour.
The Coffs Coast’s mild, sub-tropical climate is arguably the best in Australia, so you’ll enjoy outdoor activities all year round. Average air temperatures range from 19-27°C (66-81°F) in summer and 7-19°C (45-66°F) in winter. Water temperatures average 25°C (78°F) In summer and 21°C (71°F) in winter.
The Coffs Coast has a diversity of landscapes, with mountain escarpments, World Heritage rainforests, green hinterlands and 90km of coastline blessed with dozens of golden sandy surfing beaches. The Solitary Islands Marine Park extends from the coast, and is an underwater wonderland. There are a range of cultural festivals held throughout the year, including: Coffs Jetty Carnival, Woolgoolga Curry Fest, Sawtell Chilli Festival, Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival, Bellingen Jazz & Blues Festival, Toast Urunga, Coffs Comedy and Buskers Festival, and Coffs Film Festival.
Food, Growers and Artisan Markets are held regularly in Coffs Harbour and throughout the region, and are a great way to engage with the local community.
Coffs Harbour clubs, pubs and cafes offer regular entertainment showcasing local and national talent, including music of all genres, comedy acts and live shows. The larger clubs and pubs have courtesy buses to get you home safely after the gigs.
